Application: Online Inventory
and Billing Solution
Client:
Dashmesh CNG Impex Pvt. Ltd.
Problem
statement:
Client is having office in Mumbai and its branches
in Surat and Delhi. Their warehouse is located near
Thane. They are wholesale and retail distributor
of CNG kits all over India. Company imports CNG
Kits from other country and material is stored in
warehouse. Then this material is distributed to
their distributors/ retailers eigther from warehouse
or from all other locations (Mumbai, Surat and Delhi).
Imported material is transferred to other locations
from warehouse. Client was maintaining manual records
of challans and bills at each locations and information
regarding stock and billing/outstanding etc was
gathered periodically from different locations and
then compiled at one place. This was very much hectic
and time consuming sometimes was leading to delays
In deliveries because of shortage in stock. This
was leading into mounting of pressure on sales.
Also urgent and untimely import of goods was causing
financial losses. Billing and dispatch was non-transperent.
To overcome all these issues, latency, losses, company
decided to go for online application for this. But
they were not having internet available all the
time at some locations.
Solutions:
We suggested to go for hybrid model and proposed
online application hosted on internet with few offline
clients wherever required. Offline clients can synchronize
their data at anytime during the day (multiple times)
whenever internet is available to them. Now with
the help of offline client warehouse person enters
good import, transfer, delivery and also gets inventory.
Other branches can also enter transfers, delivery.
Billing happens online but handled by only Head
office persons. Now client is getting current position
of goods. Also they are getting delivery, sales,
billing summary online. Client is able achieve delivery
goals easily without delays and pressure because
they are getting timely information on available
stock at various locations. They are able to save
on high and untimely purchases because materialcan
be kept buffer due to immediate information on stock.
They are getting current dispatch details and billing
details online from anywhere.
